  • Tamiika Hurst-Darby

    TEACHER

Tamiika began practicing yoga 20 years ago during the “Bikram era” on a journey back to a six-pack after having a baby. After experiencing positive changes in her body, she began to study yoga to really understand its sacred balance between strength and flexibility, exertion, and release. She flirted with the idea of becoming a yoga instructor and eventually moved away from Bikram and just practiced Vinyasa Flow. Fast forward to 2016 - her life shifted in major ways. Tamiika was catapulted to live her true purpose or lose it all! Yoga saved her life! As a scientist and educator, her love for teaching flows deep. She is an internationally trained 500hr-yoga and newly certified aerial teacher inspiring students’ heal “in” through a powerful spiritual practice. Her superpower is “to use the science of the mind and the body to make others great.” Tamiika is holistic in her approach to build a diverse community of yogis seeking peace and self-mastery. When not teaching or blogging (@Life_2a_t), Tamiika can be found enjoying coffee and random chats at local coffee shops or spending time with her husband Bryan and their five children!
